Ezine Raw Writing:

About Raw Writing  The focus of this magazine is to publish writing that isn’t in its perfect, final draft.  The purpose of this publication is to share with you, gentle reader/writer, the results of RWW students’ hard work and dedication to the craft of writing and the act of Releasing the Writer Within”.  Therefore, these pieces are sometimes snippets of homework assignments in class or “works-in-progress.  If you are a current or former student or a member of RWW or just curious about RWW, you may submit your work to this e-zine for publication.  I promise to do my best to publish any and all works by participants of RWWClick here to download a free copy of Raw Writing.   Please remember it is unlawful to reproduce and/sell copies of copyrighted material without permission from the publisher.  To copy Raw Writing, please email me for permission.

What to submit
Writer's may submit completed essays and short stories of approximately no more than 1500 words to me for possible inclusion into Raw Writing.  All submissions will be reviewed for publication, and if accepted, the writer receives a by-line and all rights to the work revert back to you (which means I can’t use it again without your permission!). Only up to four pieces will be accepted in each edition.    Also, I am looking for the following:
  • Class testimonials (could be from a specific night of class that moved you).
  • Responses to writing prompts from previous editions.
  • Responses to class homework assignments.
  • Class Warm-ups:  Simply type up a warm-up from any class you’ve taken from me and submit.
  • Any piece that is "raw", from the gut or from the soul.
Guidelines All pieces must be in Microsoft Word, single spaced, 10-point font. Include a title and how you want your name to appear.  Since I am the only editor on a staff of one, your piece must be self-edited!  You will be notified if your piece is accepted.

Deadlines Submissions are also “rolling”; if you can’t make a deadline, I will consider it for the next edition of the e-zine.

Deadlines For Volume 8: December 20th 2009

How to get a copy. If you would like a copy, and are not a member of RWW, please email me. Subscriptions to the magazine are included with your membership to Releasing The Writer Within.
